MODEL KAOS was formed in 2011 by Alex M. Kintner (vocals), K.G. (drums, programming) und S. E. Rotwang (guitars). They spent their first year writing music and defining their sound.
The release of their first single “Love Is Murderous” in November 2011 launched the band into the worldwide gothic radio spotlight. The single quickly spread to countries like America, South Africa, Mexico, U.K, Canada, Russia, and Indonesia. The band quickly released their second single “The More” which rode the same wave of success as the first single.
They finished recording their first full release “Ghost Market” in February 2012, which was published on Danse Macabre records in May 2012. The album has reached big attention worldwide already on radio stations, podcasts and DJs. “Ghost Market” hit number 8 on the Deutsche Alternative Charts and number 7 of the 2012 charts of Dark Horizons Radio. The album was followed up by the third single “If This Is Heaven” in October 2012.
In January 2013 Alex M. Kintner left MODEL KAOS and new singer KRIS joined in June, bringing a new, more 80s like sound to the music. S. E. Rotwang decided to leave the band to work on his solo-projects, and K.A. joined as new guitar player. KRIS, K.G. and K.A. released their singles “Dreams” and “The Fire” in 2013. The EP “Fire + Ice” (March 2014) including these singles plus two versions of the song “Winter Without You” gave a preview to the second album expected for summer 2014.
As K.A. left the band in November 2013 K.G. and KRIS recorded the new songs as a duo, which lead to a more electronic sound than the previous songs. The album “Phoenix” finally was released in July 2014, again published on Danse Macabre, and soon rose up to the TOP3 of the Deutsche Alternative Charts.
In November 2014 MODEL KAOS were part of the “Electronic Transformers Tour 2014” that lead them through numerous live clubs all over Germany.
In 2016 Model Kaos performed three live shows with the original lineup.
2017 Kai Vincenz Iggi Nemeth from IN GOOD FAITH joins the band and gives it a new voice. Model Kaos starts working on songs for a new album and a new live show.
MODEL KAOS has been „artist of the month“ at Dark Horizons Radio, and number 1 on deadairradio.com. The band is played on many radio stations and gets featured by organisations like Dark Asylum Radio (UK), Nighbreed Radio (UK), OnAirRadio (Scotland), Gothicworld (Italy), OnsloughtRadio (Australia), Vampireradio (U.S.), Dark Horizons (U.S.) and FourCulture Magazine / Radio (U.S.). MODEL KAOS has been featured in German magazines ZILLO, ORKUS and SONIC SEDUCER and in the russian Bunker-Magazine.
